Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made the country proud as she won the Miss World pageant in 1994. When she was studying in college, she also did modelling assignments and TV commercials. Later she took part in Miss India pageant and after that she was crowned as the winner of Miss World 1994.

2. Her Debut In Acting

While Aishwarya was taking part in beauty pageants, she got many offers for several films. She made her acting debut with Tamil film, Iruvar, in the year 1997. She also had her first Bollywood release, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, in the very same year. 1998 was the year when Aishwarya grabbed everyone's attention with big-budget Tamil romantic drama, Jeans and the rest as they say is history.
