Harrison Ford Returns As 'Indiana Jones' In The Fifth Film; Announces June 2023 Release With First Official Picture

Our favourite adventurer, Indie, aka  Indiana Jones is all set to return to the big screen after 15 years. Harrison Ford joined the Star Wars anniversary celebration at Lucas Films and made the occasion extra special by revealing the first official image from Indiana Jones 5 with a theatrical release date. The official social media handle of the Indiana Jones film tweeted the picture with the caption, "In 2023, Harrison Ford returns as the legendary #IndianaJones. Check out this first look of the new James Mangold-directed film."

The untitled fifth Indiana Jones film will by directed by James Mangold, with a script co-written by Mangold, Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. It is the first installment in the franchise which is not directed by Steven Spielberg nor with a story written by George Lucas.

The film will see Harrison Ford reprising the role of Jones for the fifth time. The other cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones and Antonio Banderas. After several delays in the making, Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2023, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
