'IB71' and 'Chatrapathi' Both Take Off On A Crashing Note —

This Friday, we saw two movies have a decent theatrical release: IB71 and Chatrapathi. The expectations were never high for these two films, but the numbers on the first day have been even below the moderate expectations.Vidyut Jammwal and Anupam Kher's thriller, IB71, took off with turbulence. The film collected 1.65 crore nett approx. on the first day, which is a bad total. However, this is still 50 lacs higher than Vidyut Jammwal's last release, Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Agnipariksha (2022).Sreenivas Bellamkonda and Nushrratt Bharuccha's action drama, Chatrapathi, took off even worse than IB71. The South remake starring a South star could not even surpass the 50 lacs mark on day one. Chatrapathi has managed to collect 45 lacs approx. on the opening day, leaving its future in the dark.
