Inside Out 2 Smashes Dune 2 and Godzilla X Kong for the Biggest Opening Weekend of 2024 by Over $100 Million

Inside Out has smashed the box office this weekend and scored the biggest opening weekend of the year. The animated sequel surpassed Godzilla X Kong's $194 million worldwide opening by a margin of over $100 million.

Inside Out 2 hit the North America box office with $155 million gross, while overseas markets added $140 million more. The global total for the film stands at $295 million, which is the biggest opening for an animated film.
