Ridhima Pandit Exclusive Interview:

Bollywood and television actress Ridhima Pandit recently featured in Neeraj Pandey's heist thriller Sikandar Ka Muqaddar. She took some time from her busy schedule and spoke to us about the film, the similarities between her Bahu Hamari Rajinikanth and Kriti Sanon's TBMAUJ and many more. Have a look here.

Q. Sikandar Ka Muqaddar is different from regular movies. What is this world, and how does your character fit in?

Riddhima: It's different. It's made by Neeraj Pandey, sir. His filmmaking is by far one of the finest and very different from what we see. Every project of his has something new to offer. This one is a heist thriller, and I can assure you, the suspense in it keeps you at the edge of your seat throughout. And I play a very integral part of the story as Priya Savant.

Q. You have done a successful serial like Bahu Humaari Rajnikant, which inspired Shahid and Kriti's TBMAUJ (Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya). Have you seen it, and how did you find it, as a film, also the performance of Kriti Sanon?

Ridhima: The word is that it is inspired by Bahu Humari Rajnikanth. And I mean, yeah, I was pointed out with a lot of similarities as well. And I think I take great pride that I played a part, a character so well that a film has been made that is kind of inspired by it. But like I said, there's no trademark on me playing a robot; she's got her fan following, and I've got my fan following. there's no comparison. And to each his own, she looked like a dream, and I think I acted like the perfect robot. Many people say that.

Q. You are pretty active on Instagram and make reels with the current trends. How do you enjoy it, and do you think it has become mandatory for celebrities to be active on social media despite the fear of trolling and all that stuff?

Riddhima: I am active by choice. But then there are days I'm busy, or probably I'm not in the mood, so I'm not. Yes, it has become a source of income for a lot of actors too. Also, it helps us be connected with our audiences directly. It's a great platform. And trollers and all, it depends on what day they face off with me. If they meet me on a day where I don't care, I don't care. If they meet me on a day when I've lost the plot, they will also bear the brunt of it. But again, I do tell myself that I have to calm myself down because, truth be told, they are faceless; they are nameless for a reason, and that's why they are called trollers. And we are better than them.

Q. TV or movie, which format did you enjoy the most, and can any actor really choose between these?

Ridhima: An actor can choose. But am I that actor who wants to choose Well, choice is not the word here. I'm looking at good scripts, and be it any medium, be it theatre, be it television, be it OTT, or be it films, I am always hungry as an actor.

Q. Your favorite Bollywood actors/directors, and whom you'd want to work with in the future?

Ridhima: I want to work with so many of them. I want to work with Karan Johar, sir; I want to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, sir. Thank God, Neeraj sir has given me this opportunity. Knowing how selective he is about his actors, and I got to be a part of it, I am so looking forward to being a part of his other projects too. By God's grace, if that happens, I'll be very, very happy. looking forward to it.
