James Cameron's sci-fi epic action drama, Avatar: The Way of Water, isn't stopping swimming at the box office. The film has had another fantastic weekend at the box office, as it collected $31 million (3rd biggest after American Sniper and Avatar) in the fifth weekend in North America and also surpassed the $1.9 billion mark at the global box office.
Avatar 2 has crossed the $550 million mark in its domestic box office and is headed towards the $600 million club. Avatar: The Way of Water is unstoppable at the overseas box office, too. The film has done a total business of more than $1.3 billion and will have a strong hold throughout January.
