Janhvi Kapoor, the elder daughter of the legendary late actress Sridevi, was very close to her mother. Being in a family with an industry background has made many memories for her. It also includes many occasions for watching her mother's movies.
Recently, Janhvi spoke about watching those movies with her mother. She said, "You know, actually, momma would never like to watch her own films; she used to hate it, and I would hide and watch it, but I would be very troubled, like when I watched Chalbaaz as a kid, and Manju was my favourite character, because she would prank and have fun, but Anju’s character, the way she would be troubled by her father, would really trouble me."
"Even English Vinglish was hard for me to watch because her daughter in the film (Sapna) would trouble her so much in the film, so I would get really mad! So it took me some time to start watching her films. I think I started with the easier, lighter films—Mr. India, of course, but my strongest memory is of the Sadma movie," Janhvi added.
She continued, "I remember watching Sadmaa with mom, and by the end of it, I was very angry with momma because of its ending—she forgets Kamal sir’s character after being taken care of by him in the film.. and I felt so bad that why did you forget Kamal sir.. and I didn’t speak to her for two days. I was very shaken."
