The long-pending verdict in Jiah Khan's suicide case against actor Sooraj Pancholi was finally declared today. The actor has been acquitted by the honourable court in the suicide case filed by Jiah's mother, Rabia Khan.
The court gave Sooraj a clean chit due to a lack of evidence. The Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court judge, Mr. AS Sayyad, pronounced, "Due to a paucity of evidence, Sooraj Pancholi is acquitted". Sooraj Pancholi and his family members thanked the court for their decision.
Jiah Khan committed suicide in June 2013 at her home, but her mother claimed that she was murdered. She blamed Jiah's boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi, for the abetment of suicide, and then the police arrested Sooraj. Today's verdict came as a sign of relief for the actor after a long wait of 10 years, but Rabia Khan is not happy with it. She said that she would go to the High Court now.
