Joker: Folie à Deux's new trailer has been launched digitally. Directed by Todd Phillips, the trailer features Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Watch it below:
The trailer sees Arthur, aka Joker, becoming the star of Gotham City, and he is joined by his lady love, Harley. The two think they are not what the people want, so they are here to give people what they want. The dark cinema genre seems to be picking up here, but to get a better idea, we'll have to wait until the release.
Joker: Folie à Deux's trailer also defines fame and glamor from two different points of view. One is Joker, who has become a star because he is bursting into frustration because he won't allow anyone to control him. And the second side is the public, who made him a star because they could relate to his outburst against the system. Gaga's additions look intriguing, and I am all seated for this dark cinema to explore new shades of The Joker through a comic-book crime psychological drama.
The psychological thriller is directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay co-written with Scott Silver. The sequel to Joker (2019), loosely based on DC Comics characters, the film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener. Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios, Joker 2 will be available on October 4, 2024, in cinemas near you.
