Joker: Folie A Deux set to be flop:
Warner Bros.' Joker: Folie A Deux has done unimaginable, but in bad light. Joker 2 has become a prayer comic book film to receive a "D" cinemascore by the audience, which will result in flop earnings all over. The film will not only suffer at the domestic box office but internationally too.
Joker: Folie A Deux opened to approx. $7 million in previews, which was exactly half of the prequel, Joker (2019). On Friday, this comic book sequel collected approx. $13 million, taking its opening day total to $20 million at the North American box office. Looking at the rejection by the audience and critics, the film is projected to fall behind the earlier projections of $50-60 million made by trade.

A month ago, the film was expected to earn $70 million in the opening weekend, but now those estimates are down to $45 million. It's disheartening for Joker fans since the film has neither opened well nor is receiving any love from moviegoers. The first film had done a business of $96 million in the opening weekend, followed by a strong run until it reached $335 million in its lifetime run at the domestic box office. That film had a budget of $55 million, while this Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga musical cost around $200 million in the making. Now you can imagine how big a flop it is going to be.
