'Joker: Folie à Deux' Starring Joaquin Phoenix & Lady Gaga To Release On The Same Date As Prequel 'Joker'

Joaquin Phoenix is set to return as the beloved Joker in 2024. Warner Bros. has set a date for the long-awaited sequel to Joker, titled Joker: Folie à Deux. Joker 2 will be released on 4th October 2024 and is set to begin filming in December this year.

Interestingly, the first film by Todd Phillips was also released on the same date, i.e 4th October. It's just a matter of different years. Joker was released in the US markets on 4th October 2019 and now Joker: Folie à Deux will be released on the same date, but 5 years later, i.e. 4th October 2024.The first film starred Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role, along with Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Frances Conroy. Now the sequel will reportedly star superstar singer and actress Lady Gaga. Joker was a highly successful venture for the makers, with a global box office total of $1.074 billion. The sequel is expected to surpass the total, and we will know soon if it does or not.
