Jonathan Majors appeared in a couple of MCU projects as Kang, who was supposed to be the main villain in the upcoming Avengers movies. However, Marvel decided to remove him from the MCU films after his physical assault case.
Recently, Marvel Studios announced the new villain for Avengers next movies, and it's none other than Robert Downey Jr.
Robert's Doomsday will replace Jonathan's Kang in the next Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday (2026). Majors is really upset with this; rather, he is heartbroken. Yeah, those are his words.
Speaking to TMZ, Jonathan Majors expressed his feelings:
"Yeah, heartbroken. Of course. I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked, though."
Robert has gotten another chance with Marvel after his 1996 arrest for possession of heroin, cocaine, and an unloaded gun. Reacting to that, Jonathan added, "I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience, curiosity, and love, and being allowed to work art and be creative at that level. I didn’t really get that."
