Kangana Ranaut has joined the BJP party and will be contesting the upcoming Loksabha elections. Right after the news, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate made derogatory remarks on Kangana's entry into politics. As expected, Kangana gave a solid reply. However, that led to her own previous derogatory remarks she had made about Urmila Matondkar.
In 2020, Kangana saw one of Urmila Matondkar's interviews and didn't like it. Expressing her anger, she called Urmila Matondkar a "soft pornstar" on national TV (referring to her bold avatar in Rangeela movie). The video went viral again, and Kangana was slammed by netizens.
The actress was asked about this at a recent Times Now summit, and she clarified that she had no intentions of shaming Urmila.
Kangana Ranaut said, "Is soft porn or pornstar an objectionable term? No! It is not an objectionable term. It is a word that is not socially acceptable. Humare desh mein jitna pornstar ko respect milta hai, puchiye Sunny Leone se, utna respect poore world mein kisiko nahi mil sakta."
"I am not justifying anything. If these actresses are comfortable with words such as tandoori murgi, item girl, and Sheila ki Jawani, why is it seen as something violating? It is a matter of fact; if they are comfortable with this, why do you want to shame them? I personally do not think I had any intention of shaming her (Urmila) because she is very comfortable in that role," she added.
