"Karthikeya 3 Will Be Bigger," says Nikhil Siddhartha after Karthikeya 2's National Award win

Nikhil Siddhartha's Karthikeya 2 recently won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. The film was a commercial success during its theatrical release, and now this National Award honor makes it more special for the team. After the win, we had a brief conversation with the lead actor of the film; here's what he has to say.

"Critical and commercial success together is very rare to get them together, and Karthikeya 2 gave us immense satisfaction because it did very well at the pan-India level. For me, it is a film that not only gained audiences' love but also connected north to south, west to east, and that is the biggest achievement for the film—breaking the language barriers. In the end, it is one Indian cinema only," said Nikhil Siddharth on the National Award win.

He further added about Karthikeya 3, saying, "I am pretty happy to be part of this beautiful era where Indian films are taking the lead, and I think yes, there is still the influence about how we are going to design Karthikeya 3."

While sharing light on the sequel and how this National award and box office success of Karthikeya 2 will reflect on the third film, Nikhil commented, "We are going to make it bigger and better with a universal point again, which not just Indians but people across the globe will connect to. It is going to be about culture and adventure, and we are aiming to make it on 3D and IMAX screens. Also, as now we have the budget, which the box office is given, we can make a film that can achieve critical acclaim and also works for the people. It's a thin line to walk on, but I think that is what sets this genre apart, and we are trying to walk that thin line of awards, rewards, and box office success."
