It's festive time for Britishers, as there is a new addition to Britain's royal family. The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton gave birth to a healthy baby girl at 8:24 am (London time) today.
A brief statement from Kensington Palace confirmed the news and stated that both the mother and child are doing well. The royal princess weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces and is fourth in line to the throne.
The name of Kate and Prince William's daughter has not been announced, yet. Kate and William tied the knot in April 2011 and this is their second child together. Kate gave birth to Prince George in July 2013.
