Laapataa Ladies Opening Weekend Collections; Close to 4 Crore Mark in India and Over 6 Crore Worldwide

Laapataa Ladies had to struggle a bit to find its existence at the box office last weekend. The film was released in selected cinemas, especially multiplexes, where it might appeal to the audience. Therefore, the numbers were supposed to be at a low level.

Laapataa Ladies had a poor opening day of around 76 lakhs but showed a good jump on Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday growth was around 80%, but the Sunday jump was not that high. Yet, the film is close to a 4 crore nett mark after the weekend, and now it relies heavily on weekdays.
