Legendary Mithun Chakraborty and Singer Usha Uthup Conferred With Padma Bhushan Honours By The President 

Padma Bhushan 2024: Legendary Bollywood and Bengali actor Mithun Chakraborty and Bollywood and Bengali singer Usha Uthup experienced one of the proudest moments of their lives on Monday.

Mithun and Usha Ji were conferred with Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian honour in the country, by the hands of Hon. President Drupadi Murmu in Hyderabad.

The awards were announced in January 2024, and the ceremony took place on April 22, 2024, in Hyderabad.

After receiving the award, Mithun Da told the media, "I am very happy. I have never asked for anything for myself from anyone in my life. I am very happy when someone receives so much respect and honour. It's the happiest moment."

Usha Uthup spoke to the ANI:

"I am so, so happy. I am overflowing with joy. Tears are visible in my eyes, as you all can see. For me, this is the biggest moment of my life—to be recognised and appreciated by your country and, of course, by your government. What more could one ask for, truly?"
