Shaktimaan is without a doubt the most popular Indian superhero ever. Mukesh Khanna portrayed the superhero on the TV screen and became a nationwide sensation. However, when the reports of Ranveer Singh becoming the Shaktimaan in a cinematic adaptation started floating around, the OG Shaktimaan lost his temper.

Sharing his thoughts on the film and Ranveer, he posted a picture on his social media handle and wrote, "Pura social media mahinon se is rumour se bhara pada tha ki Ranveer karega Shaktimaan. Aur har koi naaraz tha ise lekar. Main chup raha. Lekin jub channels ne bhi elaan karna shuru kar diya ki Ranveer sign ho gaya hai. To mujhe muhn kholana pada. Aur maine bol diya ki aisi image wala vyakti kitna bhi bada star kyon na ho Shaktimaan nahin ban sakta. I have put my foot down."

In the video, Mukesh Khanna said, "Shaktimaan has become a super teacher. Now, the actor who plays the role should have the quality that when he speaks, people will listen. There are big actors, of course, but it is their image that comes in between."

He slammed Ranveer, saying, "Go and live in another country like Finland or Spain, that have nudist camps. Go there, open it up. Work in films where you will get to do a nude scene in every third scene."
