Munjya, the fourth film in the horror universe, has seen decent footfalls on day one, with cheaper ticket rates at almost all locations. The film minted approx. 4.25 crore nett on Friday, making it the third biggest opener in Dinesh Vijan's horror universe.

The horror universe began with Stree (2018), which remains the only Super Hit and successful film in this franchise. It was followed by unsuccessful movies like Roohi and Bhediya, and now Munjya has the responsibility to cover the losses of the last two failures.publive-imageStree had opened with 6.62 crore nett back in 2018 with an average ticket price (ATP) of around Rs. 155 over the weekend. Roohi was hurt by pandemic restrictions and couldn't even cross the 2.75 crore nett mark, with higher ticket rates than Stree. The same happened with Bhediya, which went close to Stree but fell short by an inch or two despite much higher ticket rates.publive-imageMunjya has done decent business considering the non-A-lister cast and smaller scale compared to others. Keeping ticket rates almost 35–40% lower than regular has helped the film collect 1 crore more than it could have with normal ticket rates.publive-imageBelow are the opening-day collections of Horror Universe movies:

Stree - 6.62 crore

Roohi - 2.73 crore

Bhediya - 6.59 crore

Munjya - 4.25 crore
