"Ishq Vishk Rebound Was A New Kind of Experience For Me," says Naila Grewal

Naila Grewal has come from OTT to movies and is now one of the lead actors in Ishq Vishk Rebound. The actress recently spoke to us about her experience working in this fresh take at Ishq Vishk (2003) and revealed some interesting details too.

Speaking about the movie, Naila shared, "We didn't want to recreate something. Our film is a new take—a completely fresh take on gen-Z romance and its complexities. We looked at it from a fresh lens, and that's how we went through the entire process. It was a new kind of experience for me."

Naila also expressed her excitement and nostalgia about being part of this project, especially highlighting the experience of shooting Chot Dil Pe Lagi.

"It was like a dream to be on the sets, enacting and performing a song that was a significant part of my youth," Naila shared. "The magic of 'Chot Dil Pe Lagi' remains intact, and it feels surreal to bring this timeless melody to life once again, now with a modern touch," she said.Reflecting further, Naila added, "Being in a song that I grew up listening to was truly magical. I remember watching the original 'Ishq Vishk' as a young girl and being completely captivated by the music and the story. To now find myself as part of its legacy is an incredible honor. The experience was a beautiful blend of nostalgia and novelty, and I believe audiences will feel the same magic when they watch it. The emotions, the romance, and the essence of the original have all been preserved, but with a fresh, contemporary vibe that I think today's audience will love."

Directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari and produced by Ramesh Taurani, Ishq Vishk Rebound stars Naila Grrewal, Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, and Pashmina Roshan. The trailer for Ishq Vishk Rebound will be released today, and the film is coming to cinemas on June 21, 2024.
