"It Took Me 20 Years and 75 Movies to Reach Here," Nayanthara On Winning the Dadasaheb Phalke IFF Awards

NayantharaNayanthara, who made her Hindi debut with the 2023 blockbuster Jawan, was honoured with the Most Versatile Actress Award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024, held in Mumbai last night.

The ceremony was attended by some of the biggest entertainers in Indian cinema, including superstar and Nayanthara's Jawan co-star Shah Rukh Khan, who presented her with this prestigious award.

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Nayanthara delivered a moving speech, thanking Shah Rukh Khan and all her directors, producers, co-actors, and fans for their love and incredible support throughout her journey. “Sabse pehle main shukriya kehna chahungi, hum sab ke dilon ke badshah, Shah Rukh Sir ko. Thank you so much for the love and respect that you showed me when I was doing ‘Jawan’. Thank you so much for introducing me to all of them, to Bollywood, I couldn’t have asked for more,” she said.

She continued, "20 saal, 75 film lage, mujhe yahan tak pohachne mein, and it's truly a surreal moment for me. And to be holding this, most prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award and to be getting it from Shah Rukh Sir. Aaj main unn sabhi directors, producers, co-actors, mere saare fans, sabko tahe dil se shukriya kehna chahungi, kyunki unke bina ye safar aur ye sammaan namumkin tha."
