The film was in controversies in the pre-release period, when the CBFC had issues with its adult content. The film received an "A" certificate, and the team was very unhappy with it.
The makers went ahead with an A-rated version and several cuts, which hurt the main context of the film. But now the team has decided to steam the UNRATED version on the OTT platform since audiences have liked the content and made the film a box office hit. OMG 2's director, Amit Rai, confirmed the update in an interaction with PTI.
"We have decided that we will show the original film, a film that the censor never wanted people to see, but the public has seen the film and given their verdict. If the censor board doesn't understand it, what do we say?" said director Amit Rai.
