Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli is known for making larger-than-life movies that also carry cultural references for the people. The director had thought of making a film about Mohenjadaaro and Harappa civilizations way back, but couldn't make it. Here's how the matter came to light after so many years.

Yes sir… While shooting for Magadheera in Dholavira, I saw a tree so ancient that It turned into a fossil. Thought of a film on the rise and fall of Indus valley civilization, narrated by that tree!!

SS Rajamouli replied, "Yes sir… While shooting for Magadheera in Dholavira, I saw a tree so ancient that It turned into a fossil. Thought of a film on the rise and fall of Indus valley civilization, narrated by that tree!! Visited Pakistan few years later. Tried so hard to visit Mohenjodaro. Sadly, was denied permission.😢"
