Oppenheimer is topping the charts at almost every award ceremony this year. Christopher Nolan's biographical drama, which was released in July 2023, received huge acclaim from critics and audiences. Since then, everybody has been expecting the film to win all major awards, and the predictions seem to be coming true.
Last night, Oppenheimer topped the BAFTA 2024 list with the most wins—7 wins. That takes the total tally of Oppenheimer to 271 awards* and still counting. We still have the Oscar ceremony left, and it is needless to say that this one will grab some major awards there too.With 271 awards, Oppenheimer has now become the most awarded film ever in history. The film has surpassed the previous record of Everything Everywhere All At Once (265 wins) to wear the crown. And, like mentioned above, Oppenheimer still has many more awards in the coming days. This might just create a new history, which will be difficult to match.
