Bollywood Singer Pankaj Udhas Passed Away Due To Illness

This is very sad news for music lovers. Legendary Bollywood singer Pankaj Udhas passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. He was 73 and was suffering from a prolonged illness. We, at Movie Talkies, pray for his soul.

His daughter, Nayaab Udhas, confirmed the sad news on her social media handle. She shared, "With a heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to prolonged illness."

Pankaj Udhas has sung numerous Bollywood movie songs and ghazals. He rose to further fame for singing in the 1986 film Naam, in which his song "Chitthi Aayee Hai" became an instant hit and is still remembered by listeners. 

Pankaj Ji has done over a thousand live concerts and worked on many music albums. His contribution to the music industry brought him the Padam Shri in 2006. The loss is really big and irreplaceable.
