'Parasite' Director Bong Joon Ho Announces New Film With Robert Pattinson 'Mickey 17'

publive-imageWarner Bros. Pictures has just announced their next feature film, Mickey 17, directed by Oscar-winning writer, director, and producer Bong Joon Ho (Parasite, Snowpiercer). The film is currently in production and is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton.

The story of Mickey 17 revolves around an "expendable," who is a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonise the ice world of Niflheim. After one iteration dies, a new body is generated with most of his memories intact.

Robert Pattinson stars in the title role, alongside Oscar nominee Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. The film is produced by Plan B Entertainment, Dooho Choi of Kate Street Picture Company, and Bong Joon Ho under his Offscreen, Inc. banner. The film will be released in theatres around the world on March 29, 2024.
