Mani Ratnam's Magnum Opus, Ponniyin Selvan Part 2, was released across the globe yesterday. The film has had a good opening at the Indian and overseas box offices. However, the numbers are lower than the first part of Ponniyin Selvan (2022).Ponniyin Selvan 2 had an opening of around 23 crore nett in all languages across India, which is a good total. The first part of Ponniyin Selvan had a better opening of around 30.5 crore nett in September 2022. The decrease in collections is a sign of worry for the makers, who have gained huge profits from PS-1.Below are the collections of PS-2 in India:
