Punch Factor: Aanaahad Kicks Up Acclaim

His kickboxing skills and histrionics have packed in quite a cinematic punch. Aanaahad, the debutant actor of the 'Lahore' has been raking in a fair share of acclaim.

Film fests in the UK and Italy have already lavished Aanaahad with 'Best Actor' awards. "I'd never imagined getting international recognition so soon in my wildest dreams, " admits the actor in a periodical chat. "It's a dream come true and my folks back home in Hariyana can hardly believe it. "

It's been a deserved honour for the NSD trained youngster who ranked among the top six contestants in the Grasim Mr. India pageant in 2002. Shifting base to Mumbai then, he struggled ably... and, in despair, had even contemplated quitting his acting ambitions altogether!

"But my father counselled me against it, " he reveals. "Thanks to his support I'm seeing my dreams take shape today."
