The last performance of the late Raju Srivastava will be in a comedy-drama called Kanjoos Makhichoos, which also stars Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi, and Piyush Mishra. The film is an intriguing comedy-drama about Jamnaprasad Pandey (Kunal Kemmu), who is known throughout the town of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, as a miser.
Producer Kushagra Sharma recalls working with comedian Raju Srivastava, saying, "Raju Srivastav sir was both a fantastic actor and a great human being. In spite of his being such an influential politician, whenever he came to the sets for a shoot, he used to let go of his security gunman and used to say, "I am an actor on the set, not a politician." Working with him was an incredible experience; he was so grounded that he used to invite us into his vanity and make us laugh with his jokes, and his presence on the set made the entire environment light and cheerful.""His comic timing and performance in the film are unrivalled; it was an honor to have him among us. We all miss him, and I am sure he is in a better place, blessing us," Kushagra Sharma adds.
Kanjoos Makhichoos is written and directed by Vipul Mehta and stars Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi, Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, Rajiv Gupta, and the late Raju Srivastava in prominent roles. Produced by Thundersky Entertainment (founded by Kushagra Sharma and Srishti Sharma, two young and creative minds), the film will premiere on the OTT platform ZEE5 on March 24, 2023.
