The Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu continues to drop post Diwali holidays. Even the Diwali holidays didn't give the film enough moolah at the box office. So it seems that Ram Setu is set to emerge as Akshay Kumar's fourth flop in 2022.Ram Setu is made on a budget of over 140 crore (including Akshay Kumar's remuneration), and the film is unlikely to touch the 100 crore nett mark in its lifetime run. The best day for the film was its opening day, and it collected only 15 crore nett. Somewhere, it sealed the fate of the film already.Ram Setu is Akshay Kumar's biggest opener in 2022, but let me remind you that his Hit movies in 2019 have registered bigger openings in clash. Mission Mangal did 28 crore nett on the National Holiday, August 15th, 2019, and here Ram Setu failed to cross 28 crore nett in the first two days despite Diwali holidays.Akshay Kumar had a fantastic run in 2019 with four Hit films to his name - Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. But look what a turnaround he had in 2022, with four consecutive flops - Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan and now Ram Setu.Below are the day-wise collections of Ram Setu :
Day 1 - 15 crore
Day 2 - 11 crore
Day 3 - 8.50 crore
Day 4 - 6 crore
Total - 40.50 crore nett
Ram Setu will see a decent jump in its collections on Saturday and Sunday. But looking at the current trend, it is sure to fall below 5 crore or even 4 crore on Monday. The film is expected to do a lifetime business of 85 to 90 crore nett, which is indeed very low.
