Ramanand Sagar's grandson brings Kaakbhushundi Ramayan
Ramanand Sagar brought a historic Ramayana to television and created records that are unbeaten to date. The re-release of the iconic series during the pandemic times made it an even bigger success, taking it much above where nobody can reach. Now, his grandson is set to bring a new version of the Ramayana with Kaakbhushundi Ramayan.
Sagar World Multimedia brings to a legendary tale of Ramayan, Kaakbhushundi Ramayan, that promises to be a visual spectacle. The 1987 TV serial version of Ramayana revolutionized television, redefining entertainment and catapulting Doordarshan to unprecedented popularity. Now, the channel joins hands with Sagar World Multimedia to present the same tale, but with a new vision.
Kaakbhushundi Ramayan will air on Doordarshan, starting November 18, 2024, airing Monday to Friday at 7:30 PM. Talking about the same, the creative director and producer Shiv Sagar shares his excitement regarding the show, saying, "We are thrilled to bring these untold stories from Ramayan and present it in an interesting manner for the audiences to have an unforgettable experience. The series is an amalgamation of advanced techniques, megascale production, impressive music, and discovering some facts that we have been unaware of."
The series is helmed by creative director and producer Shiv Sagar, the grandson of the late Dr. Ramanand Sagar, who brought the epic to life in 1987, captivating millions of hearts worldwide. At a time when television was in its nascent stages in India, Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan became the most-watched television series, with an estimated viewership of over a billion people globally. It has been broadcast in over 65 countries and has gained a cult following over the years.
