Raveena TandonRaveena Tandon is currently busy promoting her upcoming Disney Plus Hotstar series, Karmma Calling. The 51-year-old actress has strong comments about ageism, aka age factors for female actresses, in Bollywood.

"It's high time we bridge gender pay disparities as fast as possible. Also, ageism is another thing that I find strange because somehow it's brought up more in the media. Within the industry, it might be spoken about behind closed doors, but it’s in the media that I find these comparisons very strange. They will not say the same thing for heroes, but they will definitely point it out for the actresses," said Raveena during an interview with India Today.

Pointing out her contemporaries who have faced the same issues, she added, "Urmila, Madhuri, and I are constantly picked up about this age (thing). It’s not like we are hiding our age, so it really doesn’t matter. All I can say is that you cannot take away my talent. It’s also completely false that contemporary actors cannot be friends. All my co-stars are still my friends, and we stand by each other."
