Rhea Chakraborty summoned by the Delhi Police in HIBOX Scam case

Rhea Chakraborty summoned by Delhi Police: 

Rhea Chakraborty, who has had a bad time during the Sushant Singh Rajput case for almost 2 years, has to face a new police inquiry in a different case now. The actress has been summoned by the Delhi Police in the HIBOX scam case.

Rhea Chakraborty has been summoned to appear for questioning at the cyber cell office in Dwarka on October 9, 2024. According to reports, this app-based scam has defrauded investors of nearly Rs. 500 crore. In the same case, other celebrities like YouTuber Elvish Yadav and comedian actor Bharti Singh were also summoned by the cops earlier.

According to a police officer's statement from the last month, a total of 500 cases have been registered against the same app for financial fraud. The victims said that they were lured to fall prey to this online lottery kind of box that was promoted by popular faces on social media. Around 30000 users have been affected by the fraud.

According to the police investigation, this HIBOX app, which was promoted by celebrities, promised people heavy returns on their investment, which they haven't received after investing their money in it. The IFSO unit of Delhi Police has dismantled a syndicate operating this app and is now questioning the celebrities.
