Rishi Kapoor Has A Special Role In 'Manto'

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who was recently lauded for his role in 'Kapoor And Sons', will be seen in a special appearance in Nandita Das directorial Manto, which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rasika Dugal and is based on the life of celebrated writer Sadat Hassan Manto.

Taking to his Twitter page, Nawaz gushed, ''"It was indeed a pleasure sharing the screen with @chintskap Sir. What an amazing energy you possess even now.” On his part, a gracious Rishi tweeted back, ''Thank you Nawaz! Did that bit for Nandita Das and 'Manto'-title role played by you. We will have fun working together in the future. Regards!"

The film will cover a period of seven years between 1946 and 1952, which was an important phase in the history of the subcontinent.
