Ved marks the directorial debut of Riteish Deshmukh as well as Genelia Deshmukh's debut in Marathi cinema. Many celebrities from the Bollywood and Marathi industy attended the special screening of the film and are raving about Ritesh and Genelia's mad love story.

Director Ravi Jadhav, shared a post saying, "Riteish - Genelia and my family's relationship is beyond friends. Yesterday, I saw the movie 'Ved' which he fondly nurtured.
