Salman KhanSalman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya's pair has given us mega hits like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, and Hum Saath Saath Hain. The duo got together again after years for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), which was a successful outing too.

Now, almost after a decade, they were supposed to reunite for another family drama, tentatively titled Prem Ki Shaadi. The two have often spoken about the film during media interactions, but there was no confirmation about when the film goes on floors. Apparently, Salman Khan is no longer part of it.

Yes, Salman Khan has backed out of Prem Ki Shaadi over issues with the script. The script was redesigned, but still, Salman and Sooraj couldn't agree on several creative ideas, so they finally decided to call it off. The script demands a young actor, so Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh are front-runners to replace Salman Khan.

"If you see the sort of star that Salman Khan is today and the director’s films, the two are poles apart in terms of their creative sensibilities. The script was their common ground, but over time, there were too many things they couldn’t agree on. So, it made sense for them to call it off amicably," a source told Mid-day.
