Christopher Nolan Oppenheimer Honour
Christopher Nolan, a renowned filmmaker and producer, will be honored by the Federation of American Scientists. The reason for this is his last theatrical release, "Oppenheimer," which explored the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, popularly known as the father of the atomic bomb.
Nolan will receive the honour from the scientist in Washington, D.C., next month. The organisation will felicitate the filmmaker with a 'Public Service Award' for his outstanding work in science policy and culture.“I am especially honoured to be recognised by the Federation of American Scientists, a body formed to give scientists a voice in policymaking during the very period we attempt to portray in Oppenheimer,” said Christopher Nolan (Deadline).
Starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh, Oppenheimer emerged as a blockbuster with global earnings of $939 million.
