Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan Remain The Only Two 50 Crore+ Openers in 2023 

Shah Rukh Khan has given two back-to-back record openers in 2023 - Pathaan and Jawan. It seems that no one but Shah Rukh Khan will walk away with the top two openers, two 50 crore+ openers, and two record openers in 2023.In January 2023, Pathaan broke the opening day record of War (50.61 crore) as the film clocked 55.72 crore nett on the first day. The record was broken in September 2023 by Jawan, also starring Shah Rukh in the lead role. Jawan minted a huge 63 crore+ nett on the first day, setting a new and very challenging record for others to follow.With Tiger 3 releasing today, it is confirmed that there is no other 50 crore opener this year. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger 3 is flirting with 40–45 crore nett (Hindi) figures on day one, which confirms that it won't be hitting the 50 crore nett. It would have crossed the said figures on a proper holiday or a regular working day, though.From the upcoming films of 2023, we can see two biggies, Animal and Dunki, and both are unlikely to cross 50 crore nett numbers due to clashes. Even as solo releases, it would have been difficult for these two films due to their genres. Maybe next year, we will have some films entering the 50 crore opening club.
