National award-winning director Shyam Benegal suffered from kidney failure. The director underwent dialysis at his home as he was unable to visit the nearby hospital due to his bad health.
As per media reports, Shyam Benegal was able to visit hospitals to take treatments, but recently his health kept deteriorating. He was unable to walk outside the house, so he had to take dialysis.
Shyam Benegal has been advised to stay at home for now. The director was active with his last directorial effort, Mujib: The Making of a Nation, which has been delayed since COVID-19. Let's wish him a speedy recovery.
