Jon Watts, who directed the previous films, including the last blockbuster, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed close to the $2 billion mark at the global box office, is not available for the fourth film, Spider-Man 4.

Yes, after directing three back-to-back hits in the Spider-Man franchise, Jon Watts is moving to the new the new Star Wars realm.

Now that leaves producers with no choice but to look for a new director since MCU's timeline does not match Watts' busy schedule.

Speaking to CinemaBlend, producer Kevin Fiege said, "We love Jon. Jon did three of the best Spider-Man films ever for us. He's got lots of things going on now. So we'll probably be looking for somebody else, just because he's busy."
