Subhedar is the fifth film in Digpal Lanjekar's 8-part film series on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The first teaser for Subhedar was launched today. Interestingly, it's Mrinal Kulkarni's Birthday, who plays Rajmata Jijau's role in the franchise. See Subhedar's teaser below:
From the teaser, Subhedar seems like an honest adaptation of the brave tale of Subhedar Tanhaji Malusare. "Aadhi lagin Kondhanyach," he says, and we are all sure to get goosebumps! Pawankhind fame Ajay Purkar will be essaying the role of Tanhaji Makusare in this historical drama.
Subhedar teaser does not reveal the face of Tanhaji's character, but there are a few glimpses towards the end. However, there are plenty of scenes for Chinmay Mandlekar, who plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Digpal Lanjekar, Subhedar is produced by Rajwarsa Productions, Mulakshar Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Rajau Productions, and Parampara Productions. The film will be released on August 25, 2023.
