Warner Bros. and DC Studios' upcoming superhero franchise reboot, Superman Legacy, is being helmed by the GOTG fame James Gunn. The casting process for the film has been in the headlines since Gunn declared that Henry Cavill wouldn't be part of it.
James Gunn and the makers have finally found their lead pair, Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Affairs of State fame David Corenswet will be playing the role of Clark Kent/Superman, while Rachel Brosnahan will be seen playing the role of Lois Lane.
DC and Warner Bros. made the decision after months-long screen tests and audition tapes. David and Rachel got selected after they gave a successful screen test in full costume and makeup before Peter Safran and James Gunn. The search for Lex Luthor and Jimmy Olsen's characters is currently under way. Superman: Legacy will be released worldwide on July 11, 2025.
