The Academy Invites 487 New Members for 2024; Shabana Azmi, SS Rajamouli, Ritesh Sidhwani and Many Other Indians on the List

The Academy has invited 487 new members to join the club in 2024. Many Indians have made it to the list, including Shabana Azmi, SS Rajamouli, and others. On the list, there are 71 Oscar nominees, including 19 winners.

"We are thrilled to welcome this year's class of new members to the Academy. These remarkably talented artists and professionals from around the world have made a significant impact on our filmmaking community," said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang in a joint statement.

It is a proud thing for India that so many people from the Indian film industry have been invited to join The Academy. SS Rajamouli, Shabana Azmi, Rama Rajamouli, Ritesh Sidhwani, Rima Das, Ravi Varman, and Prem Rakshit are among those Indians who have brought this pride to the nation.
