The Best Picture Oscar Nominated 'Licorice Pizza' To Release In India On 25th February 2022

Released worldwide towards the end of November, Universal Pictures's  Licorice Pizza went on to garner a lot of critical acclaim owing to its portrayal of the love story between two protagonists with an age difference of 10 years. Having made its presence felt all across the globe, the movie is all set to delight cinephiles in India with a nationwide theatrical release on 25th February 2022.

The film, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, was nominated for Best Picture as well as Best Original Screenplay at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022. It also received three awards from the National Board of Review, including Best Film, was named one of the Best Films of 2021 by the American Film Institute and received four nominations at the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

Licorice Pizza is a story about Gary and Alana, where Gary is a 15-year-old teenage actor making his dreams come true in the California San Fernando Valley during the 1970s, while Alana is a 25-year-old photography assistant with a seemingly aimless grasp on life.

The film stars Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman in their film debuts, as well as Sean Penn, Tom Waits, Bradley Cooper and Benny Safdie. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, this coming-of-age movie will grace the screens on 25th February 2022 in India.
