Pan Nalin's Chhello Show has become a household name soon after the panel of juries selected the film as India's official entry to the Oscars in 2023. Just a few days before the film's release, the child actor, Rahul Koli, passed away due to cancer.
Rahul Koli was one of the six child actors in the film, and played a pivotal role. He was one of the lead child actors alongside Samay (played by Bhavin Rabari) in the film. Rahul's father, Ramu, informed that he vomited blood and his condition worsened before his death. He also revealed that after performing Rahul's last rites, their family members will watch Chhello Show together to remember him.
"On Sunday, October 2, Rahul had his breakfast and then, after repeated bouts of fever in the following hours, Rahul vomited blood thrice, and just like that, my child was no more. Our family is devastated. But we will watch his 'Last Film Show' together on the release day on October 14 after we perform his final purification rituals," Ramu Koli gave a statement to TOI.
