publive-imageVivek Agnihotri's historical drama The Kashmir Files has created a new record for its name. After becoming the biggest Bollywood hit of 2022, Vivek Agnihotri's directorial has become the highest-voted Indian film ever on IMDb websites.

The Kashmir Files has received more than 5 Lacs users votes at IMDb and is the first and only Indian film to cross 5 lacs votes on the movie database website. Earlier, the record was held by Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots (2009), which has more than 4 Lacs users votes.

Vivek Agnihotri shared the news on his Twitter handle as a gesture of gratitude to the audience. 3 Idiots was the first Indian film to receive 2 Lacs, 3 Lacs and 4 Lacs votes at IMDb, and it held the record for 14 years. The crown has finally got a new owner, The Kashmir Files.

However, the list is dominated by Aamir Khan starrers, as he has 4 out of the top 5 films on the list. Check it below:
