The Marvels Crack $6.6 Million Opening In Previews

The Marvels Box Office: Marvel Studios' latest offering, The Marvels, took an opening of $6.6 million in the preview shows.

The female superhero flick is projected to earn $60-65 million in the opening weekend, which aren't great numbers for an MCU's ambitious outing.Brie Larson's solo outing, Captain Marvel (2019), which was boosted by Avengers Endgame's hype, had opened to $20.7 million in Thursday previews. The Marvels' numbers are not even half of that.

Captain Marvel had a weekend gross of $153 million back in pre-pandemic times, while The Marvels will end up chasing half gross after 4 years.Just for comparison, MCU's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 both made $17.5 million in Thursday previews.
