"The Marvel" has brought some not-so marvellous news to Marvel Studios this November. The female superhero saga is to become the biggest flop in the history of the Marvel cinematic universe as well as the only MCU film not to cross the $100 million mark in North America
The Marvels has earned $77.5 million gross to date in the domestic range market and is unlikely to touch the $100 million mark. That's a huge disappointment for a film made on a budget of $270 million. Disney's CEO, Bob Iger, has blamed the team and their 'lack of supervision during COVID-19' for the outright rejection by the audience.
The overseas numbers are also not encouraging, with a total gross of $110 million. The film is almost out of shows and audiences in the main markets and will likely finish somewhere close to or above the $200 million mark at the global ticket windows.
