The Super Mario Bros. Movie grossed a massive $92.5 million from 4,371 theatres in its second weekend at the domestic box office, indicating just a 37% drop. With $87 million in its pocket, the Mario Bros. have defied the previous record of Frozen ($86 million) for the biggest second weekend by an animated flick.

The international revenue is over $339 million, while the global haul is at $693 million as of Sunday. With a rock-steady hold on Monday, the film has surpassed the $700 million mark at the worldwide box office as we speak. This one is a bona fide blockbuster and has exceeded all expectations at the box office.
