Marvel Studios' latest superhero saga, Thor: Love and Thunder, has taken a very good start at the Indian box office. The film was released on 2800 screens across the nation, making it the second widest Hollywood release after Marvel's own Avengers: Endgame (2850 screens).The Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale starrer Thor: Love and Thunder saw an early release in India. Despite a non-holiday and Thursday release, the film had a fantastic opening of around 45% in the morning shows. Thor hammered the box office with earnings of 18.60 crore nett and 24 crore gross on its first day.The previous Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok (2017), had opened to 8.5 crore nett approx. So we can say that this sequel has managed to tripled that number. It's great news indeed. The film is expected to show growth on Friday, Saturday and Sunday when the family audiences come out in big numbers.
